CHAIRMAN MESSAGE
MESSAGE
“I never teach my pupils, I only provide the conditions in which they can learn”.
-Albert Einstein
At the outset, I extend my warm wishes to all the people, far and wide.
I have opened my message with the lines of Albert Einstein. It is, indeed, a very proud moment for me because somewhere along the way, in all these years, I have had the courage to come out and serve the people whole-heartedly and I hope that I have touched their lives on a positive note through the dedicated efforts of RK Mossang Memorial Society.
RK Mossang Memorial Society is a Non-Governmental Organization, which has undertaken a social mission to attain the envisaged vision in empowering the citizens on their rights, providing Self-help employment opportunities, upgrading the socio-economic condition of the people of the state. The itinerary of RK Mossang Memorial Society has been a wonderful one. We have been facilitating services to improve the quality of life of the people by promoting sustainable sources of livelihood, healthcare, education and adopting the new technologies, enhancing people’s participation in the development process through preserving and regenerating natural resources and its mobilization and management, empowering the community to fight social injustice through a collective and cohesive manner and develop social networks and undertake human resource development initiative through community participation by encouraging infrastructure developments using newer technologies and resources.
“During those days, when it was hard to find a pucca road leading to our homes, our parents had the audacity to send us to school and even gave us the encouragement to finish our education. I am born in a joint family with sixteen children. Though our parents were uneducated they have left no stone unturned to give us all the best support to get the education and see the light of modern world. Specially, the daughters who are well established in government department except me. After completing my Master degree from Guwahati University keeping public demands in view, I have entered in State politics and created a new chapter in the political history of Arunachal Pradesh by becoming the first lady Minister ,which I feel , will go a long way to guide and encourage our younger generation. But it is also again the same public mandate that I had to change the course of serving the community and thought of small organization through which I can do or continue to work for social cause and this has led to the registration of this Society in memory of my late father R.K.Mossang under whose guidance and care, our this joint family could show our community in those days the light of education and economic development. To pay my humble homage to my father for the untold pain, care and suffer he has taken in bringing us up and also to give back the same encouragement to the people to see the light of the day”. I believe that the beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you….and even after all these years, I am still learning and with this objective, I hope that our NGO, with our selfless dedicated services, shall play a vital role for the cause of a better society, and therein fulfill and accomplish our mission.
